Pleomorphic adenoma of minor salivary glands: Review of the literature

Background: According to the WHO, pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is a benign tumor with variable cytomorphological and architectural manifestations. Objective: Our objective review literature of all reported cases PA minor salivary glands from 2003 2023. Age, sex, location, clinical, radiographic histological characteristics, prognosis treatment options will be reviewed. Materials methods: A search was carried out in PUBMED keywords: glands. Results: Twenty-four case reports English were included after applying inclusion criteria. The average age appearance 33.7 years. male-female ratio 19:11. most frequent location hard palate (29%). 16.66% presented pain. 27 30 (90%) encapsulated 28 treated by surgical resection (93.33%). Conclusion: constitutes up two thirds gland neoplasms. It presents predilection for female it commonly appears parotid palate, choice excision its good.
